Cheap-ass restaurant gift certificates!

 http://www.restaurant.com

Alriiight, time for one of my favorite sales! There was one of these at the beginning of the month, where the gift certificates were $1, but their Halloween sale isn’t too shabby either! $25 restaurant gift certificates for $2. What’s the catch? Most of these $25 GCs require a minimum purchase of $35. That’s before tax+gratuity, but still ends up being a fantastic deal. My wife and I went to a local diner-type restaurant with one of these and got:

2 Hamburgers w/sides
1 Coke
1 Milkshake
2 slices of Cheesecake

Ended up just above $35. More like $45 with tax and tip. And we ended up spending $20 out of pocket (plus the $1 for the certificate). So basically you’re getting a meal at about half price. Also worth nothing, alcohol does not count toward the minimum purchase requirement.

I would also recommend checking www.yelp.com for reviews on particular restaurants since you’re sure to run into many you’ve never heard of. Some will be awesome hole-in-the-wall restaurants while others will be, well, just holes. These certificates do not expire, but most limit you to using one per restaurant, per month. It’s a great way to stock up on certificates for restaurants you already know and love, and to try out new restaurants or types of food without spending too much.

  • Go to http://www.restaurant.com and add the certificates you want to your cart, and also make sure to read the specific terms/requirements for each restaurant you choose.
  • Enter the promotional code TREAT when in your cart/checkout.
  • It should apply 80% off which, for the standard “$25 for $10” certificates will instead become “$25 for $2”
  • Enjoy your delicious, cheap dining-out experiences!

Buy Two, Get One Free Games at Target

2nvuslg

I remember Toys R Us used to do these sales around Oct/Nov, and it looks like Target’s doing the same next week. Do keep in mind that some of these games (Red Read Redemption, SMB Wii) can be found for cheaper than these listed prices anyway, so throw your money at some of the really new stuff like Gran Turismo 5 and Fable 3! I also remember in my Freshman year of college when I used one of these deals on Metal Gear Solid 2, Grand Theft Auto 3, and Final Fantasy X. Who needs studying?

$2/1 California Pizza Kitchen product

300_1164776

http://www.deliciouslydifferentcpk.com/

When I buy frozen pizza, thin crust isn’t usually what I seek out. I go for Freschetta. Or Digiorno. Especially Digiorno stuffed-crust pizza which NEVER GOES ON SALE. Really, it’s me justifying things, since a big, thick-crust pizza could fill up me and my wife. One of these guys, though, I could polish off by myself.

Nonetheless! This site is letting you print out $2 off 1 California Pizza Kitchen product, which is a good deal. They also sell even smaller Pizza For One (the microwave things) products which should end up being 0.50-1.00 after this coupon. You can print this coupon out twice per computer, and it expires a month after printing, so get to it!

Free Weapons download if you have Fable 3. Not a 360 gamer anymore, myself, so I’m not sure what all is included but, well, it should be a no-brainer download if you have or plan on getting Fable III.
